VISITOR INFORMATION SPECIALIST
Full Time or Part Time
Qualifications: High School Diploma, knowledge of Telluride area, excellent communication skills,
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
Benefits Package: Full Time- Full medical and dental insurance, optional ski pass program, paid vacation and holidays. Part-Time, no vacation, no benefits.
This position reports to the VIC Manger. There are no supervisory duties. Exact working hours and days are to be determined.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provide Superior Guest Relations
A) Greet walk in guests, offer assistance
B) Answer telephone information and brochure requests
C) Maintain positive, energetic attitude
D) Use all available resources in assisting guests
E) Answer guest questions and requests
F) Make lodging and activity reservations according to goals
G) Encourage guests to fill out survey form as needed
H) Maintain neat and clean appearance
2) Respond accurately to telephone information requests in a timely manner
A) Enter full names and addresses into computer system
B) Respond to email requests for information on a daily basis
3) Maintain extensive knowledge of Telluride
A) Update reference book with new business listings, phone numbers, prices and any other pertinent information
B) Participate in new property tours and training programs as needed to remain current
C) Update reference manual as needed
4) Maintain open communication with CEO, Sales and Marketing Manager, VIC Manager and entire staff
A) Relate negative guest relations immediately for quick resolution
B) Relate positive guest relations for public relations purposes
C) Document and retain any problems or negative issues
5) Maintain accurate paper work
A) Complete visitor tick sheet for each visitor
B) Complete daily log at the end of the day, if assigned
C) Keep time card current and accurate
D) Assist in Duties assigned by CEO or VIC Manager
6) Maintain cleanliness of VIC
A) Restock brochure racks as needed, inform administration when low quantities exist
B) Dust and clean VIC as needed
7) Other duties as needed and assigned
