Join NPR film critic and film professor Howie Movshovitz for a screening of Franςois Truffaut’s first feature film. Nominated for an Oscar (best screenplay) and the Palm d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, THE 400 BLOWS follows Antoine (Jean-Pierre Léaud), a young runaway who must survive on the streets of Paris. He turns to petty theft to survive, but his guilt drives him to try to return stolen items – with dreadful results. 99 minutes. NR in U.S. (rated PG in the UK), appropriate for junior high and high school. Sunday, 4pm.
